That’s why in today’s blog, we’ll present a few options if you’re looking for easy food to grill. Whether you’re an avid griller who is looking for something easy to make or a complete novice who is just getting started, it’s hard to go wrong with these recipes.

3 Easy Grilling Ideas You Should Try

Barbecue Chicken

If you have a grill, some chicken breasts, and a bottle of barbecue sauce, you can make this recipe. If you have some oil and salt and pepper on hand, even better! All you have to do is fill a resealable plastic bag with barbecue sauce, add your chicken breasts, and put them in the refrigerator for half an hour.

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grates of your grill so the chicken doesn’t stick and season each chicken breast with salt and pepper before adding them to the grill. Go ahead and toss the bag with the leftover marinade. Close the lid and grill each chicken breast for about five minutes per side.

Brush on extra barbecue sauce when you flip the chicken and once more when a few minutes of grill time remains. Grab your thermometer and check to make sure that the chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees.

Frozen Burgers

Frozen burgers often get a bad reputation in the grilling community. In reality, they can be a lifesaver when you don’t have much time and you want something that tastes good. It’s as simple as following the directions on the package and it means that you don’t really have to think much about what you’re doing.

Add a dash of seasoned salt and melt some of your favorite cheese over the top and you’re in for something better than the sum of its parts. Toast the bun for a bit of extra classiness and add other toppings to suit your tastes.

At the end of the day, a burger is still a burger and it doesn’t have to be an Asian fusion burger made with organic turkey, toasted taleggio cheese crisps, papaya chutney, black truffle aioli, and micro greens on a gluten free brioche bun. Sometimes it can just be a hamburger with nothing and still be incredible. It’s even better when you can throw it on the grill, flip it once, and dig in.

Steak and Baked Potatoes

All too often, people think that steak and baked potatoes will be too much effort, but the truth is that with a little bit of preparation, it couldn’t be easier. Our suggestion is to go with the always delicious New York Strip–sometimes also known as top sirloin or top loin–thanks to its cost to taste ratio.

All you have to do is poke a few holes in your potatoes and toss them into the microwave to get them started. Some people balk at this idea, but if you’re looking for something easy, you have to make a few concessions from time to time. Microwave them for one minute per potato, then flip them over and give them another minute in the microwave.

Next, pull your steaks out of the fridge, season both sides with salt and pepper, and then head out to preheat the grill to medium-high heat while you let the steaks rest. From there, all you have to do is cook the steaks to your desired temperature, add the potatoes to the grill, and turn everything occasionally. Be sure to check out our blog that’s all about tips for finishing your steak if you need inspiration or want to try something new.

Side note: you can add foil around your potatoes if you prefer a softer skin or just toss them directly on the grill if you prefer the potato skin to be crispy.

The end result is a great steak and a grilled baked potato that didn’t require much time or attention and it’s still sure to taste absolutely amazing.
