Our Favorite Grilled Pumpkin Recipes
There are a couple of different ways to prepare grilled pumpkin, and the best part of all is that each of the recipes we’d like to share with our readers are incredibly easy to make. Try one or try them all, but rest assured that grilled pumpkin is something you’ll probably be making more than once!
The Absolute Easiest Method
If you want to keep things simple, start by removing the seeds from your pumpkin and slicing it into thin wedges. In a bowl, combine a dash of olive oil, a bit of garlic salt, and a dash cayenne pepper. Brush this mixture onto both sides of your pumpkin slices. Grill over medium-high heat until everything is golden brown. Serve immediately and enjoy the wonderful combination of slightly sweet pumpkin with zesty cayenne flavor!
The Sweet Version
For this recipe, you’ll prepare your pumpkin slices in a similar manner, but for seasoning, brush with olive oil and then drizzle a bit of honey over the top. Once again, you’ll grill your slices over medium-high heat. Dust your finished slices with just a little bit of powdered sugar or some crushed walnuts and you’ll be in holiday heaven.
Grilled Pumpkin Fries
Of course you might also want to make something to eat as a side dish for a burger. Pumpkin fries are the perfect seasonal choice! We found the perfect recipe over on Wholefully that we’ve been enjoying this season and we have to say that there’s nothing we would do to improve upon it. It’s a wonderful way to inject a bit of extra tastiness into your evening.
The only thing we have been doing differently is grilling them on a propane grill rather than throwing them in the oven. The end result is delicious pumpkin fries. The parmesan helps to take them to the next level and makes them the perfect complement to a cheeseburger. Be sure to give these fries a try!
