In part one of our breakfast burger series, we provided readers with a quick and easy recipe for a breakfast burger that’s sure to tickle the tastebuds of anyone who decides to give it a try. We’d like to take the foundation that we created with that recipe and expand on it just a little bit in today’s blog. We mentioned in part one that we believe that when you buy a propane tank, you unlock a world of culinary possibilities. That’s exactly what this burger is.
Would it be too much to say that this recipe is the ultimate breakfast burger? We’re going to go ahead and say no. Try it and see for yourself!
Our Recipe For The Ultimate Breakfast Burger
Just to recap part one, essentially what we created was the classic bacon cheeseburger with a little twist. That twist comes in the form of some frozen hash browns cooked and added to the top to take that burger to the next level. Today’s post is what you’d do if you wanted to take it a step further to the ultimate level of burger goodness.
You’ll start by following the previously mentioned recipe because that is going to form the basis of our next burger. By utilizing the already delicious Breakfast Burger 1.0 as the building block for this next burger, you can be certain that what you’re about to consume is the ultimate in breakfast burger deliciousness.
Here’s What You’ll Need
- Everything from Breakfast Burger 1.0
- One egg per burger
- Frozen sausage patties
- Maple syrup
Just a little more effort gets you a whole lot more flavor. A few simple ingredients means that your burger gets taken up a notch. Simply prepare Breakfast Burger 1.0 as specified in our previous blog. In the meantime, throw a frozen sausage patty onto your grill and cook it all the way through. Utilize your side burner (if you don’t have one, you can always handle this next step on the stove top) and fry up an egg. We prefer things to be cooked over easy to get that nice delicious runny yolk, but how you cook yours is entirely up to you.
When your burger is done, top it with your fried egg and then the sausage patty. The layer should break down as follows (starting from the bottom):
Bun/ burger patty/ cheese/ bacon/ fried egg/ sausage patty/ bun.
Pour a dipping cup of maple syrup and go to town. The final step, of course, is enjoying such an incredible creation the likes of which you’ve never made before!
Buy a Propane Tank and Unlock a World of Culinary Possibilities
If you decided to get particularly ambitious, you could also make yourself a serving of gravy to add to your burger. The beautiful part is that it’s all up to you. At Mighty Flame, our goal is to help people who are passionate about grilling to take their dishes to the next level. Looking for more tips, tricks, meal ideas, and easy-to-follow recipes?
