Can you believe it? The first day of fall is officially here. Depending on what part of the country you are in, it might not feel like it yet. Or, of course, you might already be experiencing the natural beauty of the changings colors and the cool breezes. That means that flannel shirts, jackets, and boots are now officially the perfect things to be wearing.
At Mighty Flame Propane Cylinder Exchange, we love fall, but we always worry about what’s going to happen to all of the beautiful gas grills across the country. Are they going to be used even when there’s a dip in the temperature? Or are they going to be neglected until next summer when people start to crave burgers and brats again? The truth of the matter is that even when it starts to get chillier, there is still some incredible food to be made using your grill.
Are you skeptical that this could possibly be true? If that’s the case, then today’s blog is for you, because we’re going to provide you with a few ideas for what to make on your grill even when it’s cold outside. Keep reading to get some of our favorite recipes to try out on the grill this fall!
Pork Chops
Fall weather almost demands that you start eating a bit more food, doesn’t it? In summer, you can eat lighter because you’re about to enjoy a hike, a trip to the pool, or a bike ride and doing one of those things on a full tummy just wouldn’t be particularly fun. But when fall rolls around, people tend to be a bit more leisurely, settling in to cozy up on the couch and watch a movie. Grilled pork chops are the perfect meal to enjoy in the fall because they are easy to make and, done right, they can pack all of the punch of a great fall meal! (More on that in a moment.)
Baked Potatoes
What goes better with pork chops than a nice baked potato? Wrap it in some tin foil, throw it on the grill, and then cover it in butter and you’re off to the races. It really doesn’t get much better!
Grilled Apples
Of course you need something to tie your fall meal together, and what would do that more perfectly than some grilled apples? They would complement this meal like…well, like apple sauce complements pork chops! Season them with a bit of cinnamon and lay them on the grill and they’ll make for the perfect addition to your pork chops and baked potatoes.
