If you’ve been following along with our blogs for any amount of time, chances are that you’ve seen our recipes and hopefully you’ve even tried one or two of them. What you may have noticed is that many of our dishes focus on how to perfectly grill a piece of meat. We’re huge fans of grill marks and juicy flavor on our burgers, steaks, brats, and chicken. But what happens when it’s game day and you need to take care of your vegetarian friends?
We always say that when you buy a propane tank, you unlock a world of culinary possibilities and we believe that it’s never a bad idea to expand the horizons of your palate every now and again. That’s why in today’s blog we’d like to focus on how you can make some delicious foods for your friends who don’t eat meat next time they come over to watch the big game with you.
Fire Up Your Grills
If you’re grilling up some chicken wings already, you can mix that recipe up just a little bit and still leave the vegetarians satisfied and smiling. Leave a spot on your grill for the veggies and you can rest assured that your plant loving friends will be well taken care of and your carnivorous buddies might just learn to enjoy a vegetable or two thanks to your grilling prowess.
Grilled Buffalo Cauliflower
The recipe we linked to above for grilled chicken wings will also work equally well for vegetables with a few adjustments. Simply cut a head of cauliflower into generous slices and apply the same technique. Rub them with a bit of oil and start searing them to get great grill marks, then brush on some buffalo sauce and season it all up with pepper, seasoned salt, garlic powder, and onion powder. Serve your grilled buffalo cauliflower chunks with some ranch dressing and enjoy the feeling that comes alongside of taking care of your friends.
Grilled Bell Peppers and Spinach Dip
We’ll gladly admit that we borrowed one of our favorite recipes from Food Network’s Guy Fieri. As the host of a number of shows and the owner of several restaurants, Guy knows food. Give his Artichoke Spinach Dip With Roasted Red Bell Peppers a try and see for yourself just how good vegetarian food can be at a football game. The flavors come together perfectly for a dish that’s sure to please. And you can make it on your grill! It doesn’t get much better than that.
Need to Buy a Propane Tank?
Whether you’re a vegetarian or not, there are plenty of options for what you can make for your friends next time they’re over to hang out and watch the game. Of course one key ingredient is a gas grill. Wondering where to buy a propane tank?
