Today’s blog is all about grilling yourself up the perfect cheeseburger, so without further ado, let’s get to it!
Buy a Propane Tank- Check.
Once you’ve purchased a propane tank, it’s time to get to cooking. What is the perfect cheeseburger to you? Is it simply ground beef and cheddar cheese? Does it have bacon and mayo? Are there mushrooms? Do you combine your ground beef with slices of diced bacon?
At Mighty Flame, we believe that the term “perfect cheeseburger” is incredibly subjective, so our goal in today’s blog is to help you get one step further down the path to your unique version of the perfect cheeseburger. Here are a few of our best tips:
Find the Perfect Bun
What makes for the perfect bun? Is it a light, fluffy sesame seed bun? Is it a brioche bun that’s been buttered and grilled? Don’t skimp on deciding what your favorite bun is like and making it happen. The bun is often overlooked as a minor part of a burger, but the truth is that it’s one of the key ingredients that makes everything come together perfectly.
Great Condiments Matter
Whether you’re only topping your burger with cheese or you’re going all out with lettuce, tomato slices, pickles, and onions, knowing what works best for your burger is key. For example, if you need to have lettuce, make sure it’s been drained properly or else you’ll end up with a soggy mess. Similarly, be sure that when you’re opting for cheese that you don’t just settle for the first thing that comes along. Try your favorite cheese from a number of different brands before deciding what you’ll use to make the perfect burger.
The Patty
Some of you might be thinking, “oh, the patty is easy! I’ll just shape it into a burger and throw it on.” Or worse yet, you might use the frozen pre-shaped burger patties. The best thing you can do is to season your burger patty with just a touch of salt and pepper to bring out the taste and then shaping your ground beef into a ball. From there, simply press it down to flatten it out. Don’t worry about how the edges look, but instead focus on making an indent in the middle of your patty so that center doesn’t get huge when you’re grilling.
