Buy a Propane Tank- Check.

Once you buy a propane tank, the next thing on your list should be meat and veggies. Here’s the kicker though–the perfect kabob is completely subjective, meaning that with a little bit of thought and planning, your end result will be a dish that’s absolutely perfect. Having said that, of course we have a few suggestions. Keep reading to learn more!

There’s just something about grilled food on a stick that you’ll want to eat every day of the week, isn’t there?

Chicken and Pesto Kabobs

Mix together a dash of granulated sugar, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper, and one tablespoon of olive oil. Don’t worry too much about measuring. Instead, do it by eye. Trust us, you’ll be just fine. Coat your chicken in this delicious mixture and put them on the grill for about five minutes per side over medium heat.

While you’re chicken is cooking, combine plenty of parsley, a handful of pine nuts, one squeeze from a lemon, 2 large cloves of garlic, ¼ cup olive oil, and salt and pepper to taste in a food processor. Blend for about half a minute until everything comes together.

Brush the pesto over the finished kabobs and you’re in business!

Asparagus Bacon Kabobs

This one is about as simple (and delicious) as it gets. Everyone loves bacon and you’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t consider asparagus one of the best vegetables around.

Start by cutting the hard ends off of your asparagus and then cutting them in half (or thirds depending on your preference). Likewise, cut your bacon into thirds as well. Skewer your pieces, brush with olive oil, and top with parmesan cheese. Cook until the bacon is to your liking and serve hot.

Trust us when we say that you’re going to love it!

Sweet and Spicy Shrimp Kabobs

Combine one tablespoon of vegetable oil, two cloves of minced garlic,a squeeze of honey, ⅛ cup orange juice, ⅓ cup pineapple juice, a dash of red pepper flakes, and a dash of onion powder. Stir vigorously to combine all ingredients.

From there, skewer a half dozen shrimp. Make sure they’re close together. Then, cook for a few minutes over medium high heat on each side. Next, brush your sauce onto each skewer and cook for another minutes. Flip them over, then repeat the process of brushing your sauce on. Don’t be afraid to add too much, because you won’t be able to get enough of this one!

Shrimp will be done when they’re opaque, but still tender inside and slightly crispy on the outside. Sprinkle with finely chopped cilantro and serve immediately. The final step is, of course, enjoying!
