That’s why in this two part blog series we would like to share a few variations on one of our favorites–the Breakfast Burger.
Never had a breakfast burger before? Well then you, friends and neighbors, are in for quite the treat. Are you well-versed in the deliciousness that is a breakfast burger? This blog is for you too, because we’re bringing in a few varieties to keep things interesting, so keep reading to learn more!
Option One
Here at Mighty Flame, we’re big fans of bacon. Who isn’t, right? Although we believe that a classic bacon cheeseburger is a thing of simple beauty, sometimes you just want to switch it up a bit. A breakfast burger is a great choice.
In many cases, a breakfast burger is served between two glazed donuts, but we’re not going to get quite that crazy with our recipe. As a matter of fact, our goal with this one is to keep things relatively simple in order to ensure that you don’t have to be feeling particularly ambitious to make it. That’s one of the things we love doing the most at Mighty Flame–creating recipes that are easy to make but pack a lot of punch in the flavor department. This recipe certainly meets that criteria.
Here’s What You’ll Need
The ingredients in this recipe are simple and many people will find that they already have many of these items on hand in their fridges and pantries.
- Your favorite bun
- 80/20 ground beef
- Salt and pepper
- Olive oil
- Cheddar cheese
- Bacon
- Frozen hash browns
That’s it! If you were to reduce it down, it’s a bacon cheeseburger with one extra ingredient that really serves to make a massive difference in the end result. Skeptical? That’s okay, because after your first bite, you’ll be a believer in the power of this simple and delicious burger.
Heat Your Grill
As always, start by preheating your grill to medium-high heat. In the meantime, combine your ground beef with a dash of salt and pepper and form them into patties, making a dimple in the middle of each one to ensure even cooking and a uniform thickness when they’re done. Allow them to rest for 10-15 minutes or until your grill is fully preheated. You can also add your frozen hash browns to a foil packet with a bit of olive oil, salt, and pepper. Throw these on the grill while it’s preheating and keep an eye on them throughout the process to ensure that they get nice and hot. (Alternatively, if you have a side burner, you could cook your hashbrowns in a skillet with a bit of olive oil.)
Once you’re ready to go, add your strips of bacon directly onto your grill and cook on each side until done. In the meantime, throw your burgers on the grill and cook for a few minutes on each side, cooking to your preferred level of doneness. Melt a slice of cheddar cheese on the top and add bacon and hash browns at the end. Throw your burger on your bun, then serve and enjoy! You might enjoy a dash of hot sauce, but trust us when we say that this burger will really knock your socks off!
Stay Tuned For Part Two
